Merry Christmas, a couple of days late! I was just checking on the house and they are starting to put in windows! We should be getting a roof soon, too.

It was foggy and rainy the past couple of days but today it's sunny again. Here's the latest!

I missed a few days last week, and the pictures I did take were not very good. So here is the latest, taken today, day 12.

Day 6.

Day 5: We took my parents and the dogs for a tour and enjoyed the view from upstairs.

Today was day four of framing. I am a day behind with pictures so these are from day 3. Justin called me while he was "upstairs" enjoying the view with Gracie and Cooper, our dogs. The first picture is from the kitchen nook looking into the living room. The second picture is from the front porch looking in through the door. The last picture is from the back by the garage. Or are they the other way around?...

I've accumulated a nice collection of paint samples from Home Depot. I like looking at colors. They are pretty and make me happy. Even before we were building a house, I would pick colors for imaginary houses but now get to do it for real. Here is what we have decided to do. I wanted Serengeti Plain but Mother Nature won by a vote 2-1 (Justin and the Home Depot girl vs. me). To complement the Mother Nature green we have Powdered Snow and Hunting Coat Red. I love the names, too.

Latest picture! Day 2 of framing.

Hello and welcome back! It's been awhile and I haven't added anything since the slab pictures. I'm happy to report that framing began yesterday and is going along nicely. Here are some pictures of the first truckload of lumber, a picture pointing out where the lumber came from (for Justin), and the front of our future home. From here on out, I should be able to post pictures regularly as things progress. Enjoy.
