Thanks to Kellye for "encouraging"me to get caught up on my blog. Sometimes I need a little help! :) Where does the time go...Well, Justin and I are septegenarians. Yep, we turned 70. The big three-oh and and four-oh. It wasn't as painful as I thought it would be. But it does seem weird not being "in my twenties" anymore. I hear one's thirties are great, so bring it on! And thanks for all the birthday wishes and messages! I felt so loved!

The house is coming along nicely and we will be moving in this year. Oh, yes, we will. If nothing else, the closet under the stairs is finished and just the size for my Care Bear sleeping bag and a sleeping pad. Nothing against our landlords. They are still nice but there are a few more tenants in our complex and we are thinking we need a little more space. But I'm also reading a great book called Serve God, Save the Planet and realize that we don't really need more space and I'm seeing how much of a consumer I really am. (Must...stay... away ...from the dollar spot at Target...can't...resist) I will say, though, that I love carrying my reusable shopping bags! I'm a sucker for bright fun ones. My favorite is a cool turquoise and yellow eclectic one from Trader Joe's. It just makes sense to have good sturdy ones because not only are the plastic ones bad for the environment but the baggers only put2 things in a bag. You can cram a ton of stuff in the reusable ones. Okay, enough eco-rambling...

For my birthday I got a bike! I wanted a bike but not an expensive bike. Justin found one on Craigslist (yea, Craigslist) and surprised me with it. We are thinking about riding to church. I hope we don't get hit by a car. Texas people don't really watch for bikers. Nothing against Texans since I am one, but it's true. So Drivers, don't run over me on my little black bike!
