I had lunch with Elizabeth today and I said something along the lines of, if you update your blog, I'll update mine and she said she already did...last night! So, I guess it's time since it's been 4 months. But where to start? That last post was after we did a 5k in Dallas and the guy insulted me by asking to take my picture with the box of rice. Well, I didn't feel good the rest of tha1 weekend and thought I was getting sick. I didn't run a marathon so it wasn't that I just needed to recover. Turns out...I'm pregnant! So after the initial shock wore off and reality started to set in, we started getting ready for a big but exciting change at house.
The first few months went quickly but I was impatient about finding out if the baby was a he or she. We found out a couple of weeks ago that we're having a boy! and I had to take back several of the cute little dresses I had been buying. (I had been buying both but said I'd take back whichever we didn't need-even though I really didn't want to but Justin made me because it was not practical to keep them now if we didn't need them...) I'm excited about having a boy but now that I'm entering a world of things I don't know about. We all know cute girl stuff is easier to find but I have been lucky in finding boy things that I like now that I have been out searching, but there just isn't as much. I have to block out the girl section at stores and try to ignore the cute little rain jackets, flip flops, hats, flowery dresses, sunglasses, tights that have maryjane shoes on the feet...and go back to the small section of simple boy clothes.
We are excited and I'm thankful I've been feeling good. I'm ready for him to be here but we still have a lot to do. I was really excited when I finally got a toilet downstairs so I didn't have to run upstairs several times a night anymore. I wanted to blog about it but thought I can't just write about being excited about a toilet when I haven't written about being pregnant. (But the toilet was VERY exciting to me.) So now I've done both!
