(I started this post several weeks ago and and just finishing it. It says it's July 6th but it's really July 27th...)
Finally pictures. I'm terrible at posting and have been meaning to add some pictures for months. I don't know how to move all the pictures around so I'll just describe them here...There is a picture of Justin and me from some friends' wedding back in June; me after I chopped off my hair a couple of weeks ago (I had been growing it out to donate and finally had the 10" minimum. My face is a little puffy, this was at the end of the day); a picture of my grandparents and me with the baby quilt that we made this spring; Justin putting together the crib--it's still in our entryway, by the way; a picture from my work shower (I'm wearing a new-mom-to-be tiara!); a picture of my awesome hostesses from my church friends shower--I'm very blessed with great friends; and two pictures of me several months apart one from early spring and one from earlier this month...I'm huge and outgrowing my maternity clothes.
We've been busy getting ready the baby...in about 2 1/2 weeks now! I've been feeling good and have been very thankful for that. It is harder getting comfortable at night trying to sleep with a 40lb watermelon strapped to my stomach but I know I don't have much longer, which makes me both think yay and yikes! When my doctor asked how big I was when I was born and how big Justin was when he was born, I knew something was up. He said I'm making a "big baby!" I immediately thought it was me eating too much but he said that my weight was fine but he's just probably going to be big. So I'm mentally preparing myself. My friend's cousin had a baby recently and said she only had to push once. I want that kind of delivery! Our parents were very generous and helped us get the crib and changing table. We are still working on getting the nursery ready. We have a lot to do and I say "we" but I really can't do that much. I can't even really control when the baby is coming so I just try to encourage Justin as he busily works on the house. I do have a working oven now though so I can bake cupcakes. That's my contribution--other than you know, growing and carrying our baby and all for nine months.
